I’ve always been an athlete and I’ve always been into self care but it got away for me for a little while and before I knew it I was over 300 pounds.
And then unexpectedly I suffered an injury during a softball game.

I’ve always been an athlete and I’ve always been into self care but it got away for me for a little while and before I knew it I was over 300 pounds.
And then unexpectedly I suffered an injury during a softball game.
It was devastating! Devastating to not be able to move and not be able to play softball or football and the uncertainty of not knowing if I’d ever really be able to play again. It turned out that I ruptured my patella tendon and it was completely disconnected from my kneecap.
Not sure what would happen and if I’d be able to get back to what I love, I reached out to my friend Nick DelGrosso from my football team because I knew he was a personal trainer. He told me that with hard work and determination anything is possible. So as I began the painful process of physical therapy I started training with Nick two days a week sometimes 3. Four months later I’m down to 260 pounds and I feel better than ever. I’m back on the football field and back on the softball field playing in three different leagues.
My health has improved considerably my knee has never been better and my self-confidence is better as well.
At 44 years old I am out doing young boys half my age on the field and I owe it all to Nick
He made me believe in myself and become a better healthier version of me.
Not only am I thankful but my family is thankful as well.
Not sure where I’d be in my recovery process if I didn’t have Nick in my corner. Thank you Nick!!!!

I started training with Nick in October of 2020 and could not be more pleased with my experience and results. I started training with Nick in October of 2020 and could not be more pleased with my experience and results. Originally, I was looking for someone to hold me accountable and help me stick to a workout routine in preparation for my wedding. What I ended up getting was so much more. Nick was able to program workouts that matched my fitness levels and also pushed me beyond anything I thought I was capable of. And as we flipped to virtual training, Nick continued to build workouts that kept us on track and challenged me. I was able to lift weights I never thought I’d be able to lift, my mile times were faster, and eventually I started seeing the physical transformation happening as well. Nick also taught me that stretching and recovery are just as important as strength training. Lastly, and most importantly, he taught me how to have a more realistic relationship with food and how to make better choices without depriving myself. In addition to hitting my goals for the wedding, we’ve also created a sustainable and balanced lifestyle that has me feeling like the best version of myself!

I started my weight loss journey about a year ago when my doctor told me I was Diabetic, with my weight being the primary cause. I topped out at 386. I decided then I had to make some changes. I first started with changing my diet, by cutting out sugar and carbs I shouldn’t be eating. At the same time making smarter decisions on portion control. After 9 months of just dieting I lost about 60 pounds and was starting to feel better and look better. But I knew I needed to start working out to really take it to the next level. I met Nick at my place of work and he was always saying, “hey, hit me up when you’re ready, and we’ll start training and getting you the results you want!” Fast forward, It has now been 3 months since I started training with Nick. I have lost another 30 pounds and started gaining muscles! Nick pushes me hard every time we’re in the gym, to get results and to make sure that I am properly performing every exercise so I don’t get hurt. With Nick’s help I’m setting goals every week and achieving them. Both my physical and mental health are improving!

Coach Nick has helped me to become a better overall athlete.
He pushes me for greatness every time that we train.
He is like a mentor and encourages me to give my all, no matter what.
He has taught me that every rep counts and that it is never okay to quit.

The thing I love about Coach is that he always has a good plan for each workout and all the specific details for every movement he wants me to perform. My father told me that practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent. Only perfect practice could make perfect. Coach Nick is about as close to perfect practice as you're going to get. He never lets me give less then 100% and all my measurables have improved. Two thumbs up
